I can post a pic in the initial post, but when I edit the post to add some more no matter what I do I it just puts a link in there rather than showing the pic. What's the magical trick?

in your edit - check farther down under this type screen and you will see manage attachments - if you click on that it shoud open the box to add more pics - hopefully I got your question correct

You have to go to GO ADVANCE when editing for "Manage Attachments"
