What year and Manufacturer

Need help with year and manufacturer. M49a2c frame numbers, 159005 and 2187162d. Stock number, 2320-00-077-1631. Vehicle ID# 4E5988. Contract #159005. Data tag also says"REPOCSMS Oct 90". BTW, Not my truck

This truck was built by the Lansing Division of White in 1962 - specifically in September or October on contract DA-20-018-ORD-24360, thus when built it was not a M49A2C, but rather a M49C. It was originally powered by a OA-331 6-cylinder gasoline engine.

The Lansing Division of White was formerly known as Reo Motors, Inc. (though on this truck the data plate would have read "Lansing Division White Motor Company). This was among the last military trucks to leave the Reo plant.

Vehicle was to beshipped to Organization: 1140TH EN BN COMBAT CORPS
Location: CAPE GIRA
MISSOURI in Sep 05 but not sure if it made it there.

If built in October, would the government consider this as 1963 because of the fiscal year starting on 1 October??

This could bring up a good question concerning all manufacturing dates.
