When did scripts from googleapis.com become a requirement to post

Seems I cannot post a reply without enabling scrips from googleapis.com.

When did this change?

I am on firefox and this site requires me to disable no-script about half of the times I log on. It did not used to be that way, but has been so for at least 6 months. Do not know f this is related, but seems similar to your experience.

Test post. Previously after typing novel the interface would return "message too short" and show me a blank form again.

I no longer see a quick reply but I can do the standard reply without enabling scripts from googleapis.com.
