Where can I buy a starter part number MFY6701UT? (HWMMV)

Our sheriff's dept has an old 1984 HWMMV with the 6.2 Detroit diesel. It ended up submerged during the flooding last month, and the starter is completely toast--the big carriage bolt that the battery cable hooks to has burned off, and the windings are fused to the casing....ain't no rebuilding this one.

Does anyone have a source where I can get a replacement?

Make sure you read the HMMWV parts sticky in the HMMWV forum.

A simple search for the part number showed many options. One I highly recomment is Erik's Surplus.

You will also want to replace the starter bolts.
