Where to find brake hose retaining spring

I am trying to find the spring that keeps the brake hoses on the front of the deuce from rubbing on the rims. Looking in the 20P, I found the part number for the spring:

18 PAOZZ 19207 5167466 SPRING,HELICAL,EXTE LEFT AND RIGHT 2
FRONT WHEEL CYLINDER HOSE

Any idea of any vendors that carry these springs? One of mine has a broken end so it doesn't hold onto the axle anymore. Thanks.

Crawdaddy,

I was missing the exact same piece on my Passenger side line. I zip tied the brake line away from the wheel. That got me back down the road safely.

I know this is not the "approved" fix, and don't want to get flamed. I have made a habit of checking the line and zip tie at every pre trip.

Maybe you can get a reasonably close replacement from a hardware store? McMaster Carr carries a pretty good selection of springs....

Let me know what you come up with and how it works!

A spring from the hardware store should work. Just make sure it doesn't take too much force to pull it. You could try calling somewhere like Memphis Equipment to see if they have the correct spring.
