Yes I have rocks in my head!
But I am looking at another Deuce coming up on a local auction.....
1966 Kaiser-Jeep. Brakes are not working, but do pump-up a very small amount. I suspect that by adding brake fluid I could get it home 15-20 miles alright.
There is no sticker saying silicone fluid, so I assume regular DOT 3. But I really don't like to assume.
Someone has mentioned a simple test to determine what type of fluid it has, but I can't find the info.
Anyone remember?

It's in Fort Wayne. About 100 miles. I consider that "local" for me.
Turbo multi, some rust, lots of mud, soft camo cab top. Sprag probably not working. Actually looks terrible. But the engine runs nice. Runs a lot smoother than my 1970 non-turbo. I wonder if the turbo has anything to do with that?
I'm hoping to get it to use as a "beater" for hauling-out firewood.

Too test brake fluid - use an eyedropper to drop some in a bottle or glass full over water. If the brake fluid stays a "wad" - its silicone. If it mixes and disappears, its DOT 3. In my experience, turbo has no effect on idle.
