white line from fuel filter

Mine is broken and hanging. What is it, where does it go?
Had the beast out today and ran it about 50 miles, used 3/8ths of a tank, is that normal?

It is labeled fuel heater in the TM. The fuel gauge is just a guide, you will have to drive it more to get an idea of fuel mileage.

It is to keep ice from forming in the filter. You might want to fix it where you live.

Fuel heater? Sounds it ran off the exhaust manifold, except it's plastic.

Are you talking about the white wire or a plastic line? Here is a link to some pictures of a filter base off the truck.

if it is the white/clear hose, that is the drain for the bleeder valve. Make sure the valve is closed. It just drains to atmosphere.
