Why was my M1009 TP/45?

Hey SS,

I noticed most M1009s have TP/35 or TP/40. Mine had TP/45. It was a SeeBea, Port Hueneme, CA.

Did the military change the TP paint whenever tires were changed and painted accordingly, or was the vehicle intended to carry more weight? )Probably not w/ a Blazer, but...)

Ideas?

depends on the load range of the tire. the newer 31-10.50 x 15 tires are load c, max pressure at 50 psi.
