Winch cable clevis installation?

All,

I got new 1/2 winch cable today, I want to make sure I install the clevis properly. The M35 TM's doesnt give any info on it, and the Rigging TM doesnt go into detail.... Is there a website or something that I can see the proceedure? My new clevis has a conical brass? insert that looks like you drive down into the cable/clevis.. Do I just cut of the fiber core, and drive the wedge into the cable? Is it really that easy?

Once upon a time I did an item for MVM called "care and feeding of wire rope" that details this.

If you can't find it I will - but can't until Tuesday.

I did a post on this about 3 years ago... I'll see if it's still around. Listed a website for the clevis.
