Mornin'

Went to reinstall the winch driveshaft with my new yoke and realized I had forgotten a new u-joint.

aua

Got the cross reference # from the chart here and it called for a Napa #1310. Went to Advance (Napa was already closed) and they crossed it for me and it was wrong. Had internal snaps and was too small.

So did they screw up or is #1310 incorrect?

Anyone have anything for me? I hate to pay for shipping from Memphis, etc., for something like this.

Thanks

Just bought a set of them not more than a month or so ago from my Napa store, I only installed one of them in the shaft but had no problems... 1310 is a "series" number... Kinda like an "industry standard" if you want to call it so... There are 6 + actual PN's that will fit a 1310 from Napa but a store may stock one or two of the numbers so asking for a 1310 will get you the right u joint. Where as asking for a 369 or a 380 (actual Napa number) may or may not get you out the door with a joint in your hands...

Parts guys SHOULD know these things but with the younger computer generation.... *sigh*.... their wetodddid!

Found it. Napa claimed no such u joint was even in their book......... (in that size).

Went to a driveline shop today and the guy didn't even have to measure it. $15. See pic.
