Hello all

I am installing a winch on my non winch truck and I have all the parts but I need some bolts.

My question is, what size bolt do I need for the shift bracket to the master cyl?

Also, should I use gasket sealer on the pto to trans gasket?

Thanks

Not sure of the bolt size. For the gasket, you actually need to adjust the gasket thickness to set the gear lash. Go to NAPA or Fleetpride and buy a variety of gaskets(thickness). I am sure there are a few decent posts that explain this. Dry should be fine.

Thanks

I got a bunch of gaskets from white owl last fall so I should be ok, I just need the long bolts for the front mount and the ones for the shift bracket, I thought I would ask because I see a lot of people convert a wow to ww and I figured someone must have the size.

But before I do the winch I think I need a rear main. The reason is, oil seeps between the block and bell housing. I checked to see if a valve cover or head gasket was leaking which would travel down but both are good and dry.

I have everything to do the job and while I am there I will replace the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing and resurface the fly wheel.

Just waiting for some good weather before I tare it down ( outside project)

Anywhere I can get an alignment tool for the clutch?

Gary, the the alignment tool is 1 5/8" I borrowed one from a local truck repair shop. <Basicly, use 2 thick gaskets on the PTO mount and you are good to go. Unless you are anal, then do one and the plastigauge, put her on, take her off, plastigauge some more, you know the story. JT out

- Bracket bolts (2): 7/16"-20 x L=7/8"
- Alignment tool: 3/4" for pilot bushing x 1 7/32" (clutch disk int. spline diam.)
- PTO to tranny: one thick gasket (+/-1mm) plus 587 Loctite (blue RTV), both faces.
