Hi All,
I just finished installing the 5-ton winch on my 1083. All went fine and the winch is working beautifully. I am planning to install 3/4" Synthetic lines instead of the original steel lines.
I am able to winch from the rear no problem through the installed pulley and bracket systems installed. I'll post some pics this weekend. However, the cab lift cylinder is in the way to winch from the front. Also some parts of the cab mount and center brace membraneare in the way as well. Does anybody know if things changed on the some of the later year trucks to accommodate winching from the front?
My truck is a 2005 M1083A1 with the C7 Motor.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Tony
