I know that some of the 5 tons and 10 tons have winch tensioners and I am just wondering if any of the deuce's came with them.

Not for the front winch. (none that Ive ever heard of, could be wrong, wouldnt be the first time)

I have only seen them on 5 tons also. Anybody know if the 2.5 ton wrecker had a level winder for it's front winch? On another note, anybody have any 5 ton tensioners that they want to sell?

a tensoiner is one of the hardest things to pry out of someones hands.. 
. the duece winch winds up from the top and the 5ton winds from the bottom so i dont think you can make a tensoiner work like it is one the 5 ton but you might can rig one up that would mount sideways and on the top

Tensoiner from 5ton way to large for 2.5ton. Check out warn industrial .They have a very simple level winder for low boy drags that could be adapted very easy.

the 5ton one can be cut down without to much hassle.. better be a good welder... but not all that sure if its worth all the trouble. check the one deathrowdave is talking about.. that might be real easy and a simple fix

The 5ton winch winds over the top aswell, it's pulled in under the bumper and roller but then is wound over the top of the winch.

On a level wind the rope comes off the top side of the winch drum, over the winder roller on top of the winch, down through the tentioner, and the wire rope exits on the bottom of the whole winch assembly.

Have the Warn 18K electric on my A3, and it.came with the cable tensioner. Sure is nice. Perhaps one of those could.be fitted to the A2 PTO winch? The Warn 18k winds from the bottom.
