I made an impulse purchase on ebay and it arrived today, Winter Cover for the truck.

What suprised me was the stinky muli-layer paper wrapped around the whole thing but what shocked me was the lable on the package, said it was
Pkd: 2/55, you can just make it out in the second picture, can this mean February 1955

Man if that is the case seems almost a crime to actually use it!

Anyway, that was my MV moment for the day.

I bought one of his kits. I just received it today. It needs a little modifying for the A2 but it won't be hard. The hood blanket is a little long. The cover for the right side panel needs a hole cut in it for the air intake. I need to find some of the wide lace like they used along the edges for the air intake hole. I am going to check the left side tomorrow to see how it fits over the cab heater air scoop.

Update. The left side fits over the heater air scoop just fine. The hood blanket is a little long in the front but fits around the hood safety latches on top (rear) just fine. The hood latches in front are a little wide for the notches in the cover but only by an inch or two total.

I think maybe for the air intake, for these kits you remove the mushroom and rotate the intake into the engine bay. No hole to cut and slighly warmer air drawn in.

Just a guess on my part.

I was thinking about this because i also have been looking at one. but I finally decided to just put the money towards a block, oil pan, and tranny heater.
