Check GovLiquidation Event 1094 Lot 1317. Texas had two. Be patient, they do come up. You will need the dolly set first. The shelter needs to have two sets of hooks on the bottom and two reinforced bolt on fittings on each side. The shelter that is only for securing to the bed of a deuce doesn't have these needed features so be very careful! I got this box from Elgin AFB near Fort Walton Beach.

I'm with you Kenny, that thing would be sweet to take huntin' this year! Of course that would make my deuce do 15 mph through the mountains instead of the usual 25.

Yeah, but the flip side is the trailer has air ride! Who else would go off-roading with air ride besides the military?

Hey Chris, I've got an S318 shelter that's been converted into a camper with a little window shaker A/C to boot. I've got a friend in the next state that has a nice M832 shelter dolly I can get. The 318 works nice in the back of a pickup and even better in the M105. 318s are very light and I've even seen one in the back of an M1009 before. Kinda made it into the MV version of the blazer chalet. Hmmm, now I'm thinking too hard.

Tex;
My next project is to mate a 3KW generator to the shelter to power the lights, heat and A/C (when I get the A/C unit). Gotta have the comforts of home!

Haha, my window unit was an $80 store bought special that got a nice coat of CARC on it. Keeps the lil 318 shelter frigid on the hottest days. I know they are hard to find but look for one from a shop van. I know the vertical compacts are out there. They are used in the data vans but like my semi trailer, they're mostly 3 phase. It takes all my 10KW genset has to run the A/C in my semi.

Kenny, that sounds really nice. It would be nice and light so I probably wouldn't even feel it behind the deuce. Hmmm....

DR, I happen to have a 3kw genset for sale in the SS Surplus if you are needin' one. Course you probably aren't since you are in the surplus biz, but I thought I would offer

I'm wanting to get one just like yours from Uncle Sam and rebuild the engine. I'm anxious to try since it looks like a good and easy job. I downloaded the page and am anxious to get started. It looks like you had fun doing it! But thanks very much for the offer!

It was a lot of fun to do. I rebuilt three of them on my back porch. Those 42ci horizontal 4's are real easy to work on. Good luck with your project.

Chris;
Mind (when the time comes) if I ask for a few pointers? It will be a little time before I get the chance.
