I am 6'2" and working on the engine compartment can sometimes be a PITA. Especially when trying to reach something near the rear of the compartment.

I find myself standing on the shackle mounts sometimes and barely having a toe on it.

So I made these and I thought I'd share
I found the perfect tubing that slides right in the shackle mount.

The tubing is 1"x1.5" 11ga rectangle tube

I used a 1' piece for each step and a 7" long piece of hot rolled "C" channel

I cut out a notch on one side and left the other solid...
