Without raising the firestorm over this unit, you can often find them for less then $150.00 if you look around. They are generally reliable, and easier to use in a darkened cab then the standard three lever switch. HOWEVER, when hooking the unit up, be sure to establish a proper equipment ground wire connection between the switch units ground screw and metal in the cab that is grounded, and this must be done before anything else. Then hook up the switch wire harness in the usual way and screw unit into dashboard.

They do work and work well as long as they are protected from a static charge/discharge situation, and that is the purpose of the equipment ground wire being hooked up first.

Cheers,

Kyle F. McGrogan;)

yes it is but you must add a ground strap if yours doesn't come with one. there are also lots of problems with these. they are prone to fail. keep your original as backup

eBay links go dead shortly after the auction ends. You just made a thread that will confuse people soon.

No, but your title does not clearly describe the topic of the thread. The link will go dead soon and there will be no picture to reference.

If you copied a picture from the ad, and titled this with a descriptive title, it would help make this a useful thread for a bit longer than the life of the eBay ad.
