Does anybody know if a transmission off a LDT 5 ton will fit on a
5ton 250 800 series?
And the same question about the transfer case?
Thanks.

As you check the part numbers in your 34-p you will find that the Cummins and the Mack A1 use an overdrive tranny and the M/F 5 tons use a direct drive. The fit is the same and the function is the same for non-truckers. We have a 5 ton gasser near me with the overdrive tranny, and of course in a loaded condition you always start in low range, so the difference is minimal. At road speed loaded you will spend more time in 4th with overdrive than you will with dd.
