I didn't provide that info - but, there were actually two different versions. I should wrap up a book tomorrow, then I'll take a little time and post up the info on the other one.

Anyone ever look at getting data plates made for their XM381A2 ??

I wonder if Rod Shaver would be interested in working on a version of the data plate.

I've been working on this. Here is a drawing (negative) of the two plates. If you are interested send me as PM. Right click on the thumbnail and open it in a new window.

David Kelone, the data plate guy does make the plates, CruizinZ28 , Jesse has them on his beautiful 4x4 conversion deuce. One could also call it a Deuceimog, as per Artie Swain, MTA NJ in 2003 when he saw my original JATonka 4x4 at Dover, NJ armory show. JT

I really like the idea of changing the data plate, and already keep a copy of the original spec sheet for the XM381 in with my insurance and registration in case some LEO says it isn't an MV (I have MV plates). What are the problems coming with altering what is, essentially, VIN markings? Putting the proper year on it might pose a problem, and also the manufacturer is AMG, not Kaiser-Jeep. Any thoughts on this?
