Yanmar L40A Fuel Problem?

I "won" one of the diesel wheelbarrow type air compressors, it's in pretty good shape except for the rotten fuel lines. Now the fuel pump seems to be toast. Anyone familiar with these little diesels? How much fuel should you see from the pump? Should the fuel line to the injector be full of fuel or does it just send a mist? Anyone have a pump they are willing to sale? Any help is appreciated.

The injection pump (pumps) very little fuel. The line should be full of fuel and when the engine is cranked the injector emits a fine mist.
When installing a new pump leave the injector line loose on the injector and crank the engine with the throttle in the fast position until fuel squirts from the loose fitting.
Then tighten the line and it should start if the injection pump is ok.
If dirt entered the injection pump it is most likely trash.
You can find OE and Chinese made injection pumps on e-bay.
