KILROY Chapter MVPA - Shepherdsville, KY 20-21 Oct

I never get enough pictures. But here are a few I took. Some of the attendees put a lot of time in setting up their living history displays. Clark Airborne dozer. Several 1/4 tons in the barn M718 Ambulance UH-1 Huey taking off A friend, his son, and myself going for a ride in a M5...

My M151 and Mule got a bath waiting to head up this morning. Hope it stops raining before I unload.

2008 M1078 A1R Maryland to California or Bust!

That certainly has to make you feel good about buying the right truck. Congratulations on the easy journey.

What did you do to your trailer today.

He really did. I bought it from his widow- so unfortunately didn't get to meet him or hear any stories. But did find this build thread he posted here- Mule Hauler I'd like to get a set of M101 side rails and canopy to see if they do in fact fit.

What did you do to your trailer today.

It's a M116 frame, and the previous owner built sides and tailgate to look like a M101, but it's wider. He specifically built it to carry a M274 mule. Also cut the inside of the fenders out to gain width. (Mule is 48" wide).

What did you do to your trailer today.

I used my 3/4 ton for cleaning up some Cherry in the back yard. And it struck me why I like mil vehicles so much. I did not serve, but have always loved military trucks, jeeps, and trailers. I grew up in the 80s playing with GI Joe. Now I’m in my 40s and I get to play with full sized toys.

Large military vehicle auction- Lyerly, GA

Some auctioneers are so lazy. I'm sure it's a coincidence that this auction with a lot of MIL vehicles is the same weekend as a local Rally, but it's no coincidence that other than one ad in the MVPA magazine, and a very poorly designed website with limited pictures, there is nothing out there...

Large military vehicle auction- Lyerly, GA

Saw this auction advertised in the MVPA magazine. Very poorly put together website, but at least it does have enough pictures to generate interest. I haven't seen it shared on any of the military vehicle forums I'm on- I hesitate to share it here, because it could cause someone to pay more...

    Sam Werner Museum, Monteagle, TN

I didn't drive my MV to the museum, but it was a road trip for the purpose of looking at MVs, so that's why I'm putting this post in this forum. I only found out about the museum about a month ago from a friend that had been. It's only opened on Friday and Saturday, and I planned my arrival...

    Transfer of guardianship

Last night's Mule project was cutting a "horse stall mat" to fit the deck. Not a difficult job, and turned out pretty well for an ugly mat. I took the Mule to a gun range in Spencer, TN a couple of weeks ago to assist in clearing some trails that will be used for a run and gun competition...

    Graves Mountain 2023

Thanks for sharing your experience. Most of the vets I've talked with when they see my M151 just tell me "I put a lot of miles on the 151."

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2023 - August VOTE HERE!

I volunteered to help out cleaning some trails for an upcoming shooting competition to benefit the Special Forces Association, Chapter 38. The Mule was a hit, as well as very useful to transport chain saws, fuel, etc deep into the woods.
