Does anybody know if you can swap the tranny in an M813 with one in an M54 series 5 ton?

A transmission out of an A1 series will work as it is an overdrive unit. The transmissions in the gas and multifuel trucks are direct drive. Your 813 has the OD tranny. The transmissions are all the same in size, but with different gear ratios internally. It will bolt in place but performance will be hindered.
