Recovered a 1971 Jeep-Kaiser M35a2, or what is left of it. Picked her up near Aberdeen towards West Port. Bought it from a Vol. Fire Dept., chief said they re-did the entire truck, new filters and fluids but they were having brake issues. He said that the truck kept getting rust in the wheel cylinders and would leak fluid out of them. Recovery went un-eventful and better than expected. Flat towed her home with my new tow-bar I just got at the Rally. 60 miles of slow going and slower stopping. Had a vette as a chase vehicle, extreme ends on the speed scale. Camera decided not to save half the pictures I took so here is a sneak peak for now. More to come later. Still up in the air if I want to bob it or find a bed for it. We shall see...

Started her up today. Starts and idles better than my truck. Half the gauges don't work, the tach does though. When it idles its at about 700ish and when I jab the throttle it shoots up to 2000 to 2300 instantly where as my other truck barely makes it over 1000.

I knew you lived somewhere along the way. Meant to talk to you to see if you were an available stand by if anything went wrong but you left right when we got down to the rally. But everything went well.

Congrats! I lived in Aberdeen for almost 10 years. That is pretty country but I had to make my way back to the south. I did bring back a souvenir though...my wife. Stay dry!
