m1009 transfer case problems

ok im sure i could take it to a shop but i trust more around here more, it seems to like to kick out of 4x4 when under load. need a rebuild? or some thing simple? i hold in and it works great

Check you mounts and linkage adjustment

More than likely is that the shifter fork inside the transfer case is worn out. You would have to remove and repair the t/case . It is a little frustrating to take it apart due to so many needle brgs that fall everywhere, unless you have done it many times.

The 208 case has a habbit of the plastic wear pads on the shift forks coming off. Then it doesnt shift fully into range.
