There's only a few ways timing can get out on the 6.2/6.5. The timing chain will stretch over time causing retarded cam and injection timing. The only other way is to have removed the pump and gear and installed any part of the timing set incorrectly. Or the cam chain. But if you did that, the valves would let you know as soon as you turned it over...
well it has become very noisy here lately. well louder then usual it sounds very pingy/slappy and it has a rough idle. I changed injectors recently which solved the really bad knock at start up due to a leaky injector. I have played with timing a bit tried it a little retarted it was quieter but ran really rough and stalled. So i put it back to dead center. Its just not running right its sounds like its realy advanced thats why I asked.
