Cargo cover dimensions

I found a boat cover and canvas shop that said they would shorten my M36 extra long cargo cover to fit my M35A2 for only $40! That might go up once they start wrestling with it!

The only thing I found searching was someone thinking they're 14' x 14'.

Can anyone confirm what the length should be for the M35A2 cargo cover?

Thanks!

Yes, 14 inches long including new seam, is correct.

(And don't let them keep the rest! PM me if you don't need it.... )

G.

Edit: meant to say 14 feet, of course...!

As mentioned 14 FEET ( I think mine measuresed 14'1" )

I had a M-36 cargo cover on my first deuce ( guy who I bought it from advertised it as a M-35 top ) I ended up using it and because of the lengh I did not need a front curtain :-?

The piece that is cut off should be 14' x 5' -ish.

I might have them use the rest to make me a top for my CJ5. Military style with just the top and back covered.

If it isn't enough to do that I'll let you know!

I kind of did the same and I wasn't happy with how it laid.

The friend that gave me this M36 cover also gave me the front and rear curtains so I'll be good to go.

40 bucks is a pretty good deal. I shortened one a few years ago and used pliobond to join up the seam. It has worked well and seems to be still holding.
It was a PITA and took a lot of careful measuring. I don't have measurements right off but I can recommend the pliobond. It works on canvas also. And it's fuel proof.

I thought an M35 bed was 12'-4" long.

12'-2", measured over the bows.

I knew what you meant.
Now I'm curious, what would you do with the rest of the material?
The rest, that is total minus 14'-2", (2"-> for the end seam) is enough material for 1 cab soft top; at least 1 set of seats; tool bag; tailgate chain sleeves; etc.
Done it, more than once...

Oops, now that I told you, you'll probably keep it....?

If I don't make the soft top for my CJ, then the only thing I want to make is a winch drum cover.
