Dual-Tex camo on CUCV's?

There's an example of the pattern commonly called "Dual-Tex" as i'm sure most if not all of you know of....I was curious if it would be accurate or semi-realistic to paint my M1009 with this paint scheme, I want to keep a military style look but i want it to stand out, i was reading the forum and i saw quite a few people say that most variations were due to Low level (Division or lower) maintenance which caused touch ups and whatnot to the paint, but i also keep reading that unauthorized paint schemes were used and i was curious if The "Dual-Tex" pattern would make sense. I was also considering a tigerstripe style pattern but i'm on the fence about that considering i can't find any examples at all of a tigerstripe military vehicle.

Hey Healy, it's your 1009, I say go for it! That DT pattern would look good on a CUCV. If you decide to do it don't forget to post pics. Have you found a pattern/color layout the DualTex? I've never seen it done but as far as it being realistic I'm sure it would look just right. Never seen a tiger stripe one either but I've seen zebra stripe (didn't look right). My wife wants one in a pink camo paint scheme! I can't seem to change her mind or get that picture out of my mind , so IF I get her one we'll just have to see about that . Keep us posted on your decision.

Do what you want. Any way you go, I'm sure it will look cool.
The digital/dual-tex looks cool.

You could a combo of both. Here's a digital tiger stripe pattern.
Tiger Stripe Camouflage goes Digital

I think a normal (not digital) tiger strip pattern would be an extremely time consuming paint job, but it'd be awesome.

Have you looked at German camo patterns? Those are pretty cool looking, and would make it stand out.

There had been a SS member that had his Blazer in the early 80's Digi cammo. As you can see, he hasnt been on here in a long time. There might be a thread or two about the early digi cammo somewhere.....
