Yes, you can paint the engine with it.

Personally, I like the 383 green CARC substitute which would not be the original color but more than likely the color it's painted now.

A lot of guys on here use house paint. My bobber was painted with house paint. It holds up well and mixed properly it will match any color mv paint

That may be a re-paint most were OD green .
