Glad you ended up with it. I'd say that's probably the most famous truck on the site.

I actually still can't believe he sold it.

Truck's name

What do you guys think about a new name for Cranetruck? We have all seen namesake inventions from Mikhail Kalashnikov, Eugene Stoner, John Browning and now we have... the Bjorn.

What say ye? Appropriate I think.

Great doing business with you Justin. I know the truck will be cared for and come of good use as it has served me for more than 15 years.
"Bjorn", hmm..flattering means "bear" in Swedish sort of goes with the elephant logo on the crane.

Got some cleaning up to do and the weight with the extra engine, tires etc will be over 20,000#, so don't count on a PU truck haul.

Thanks again Justin.

Selling it? It wasn't an easy decision, but gotto shake the tree now and then and our house needs a new roof among other things.
The 757 will also get insured and tagged finally.
I do, however see a new, smaller crane in my future, something that will not run on the main vehicle engine...can't service the 8x8 without one.

Congratulation Justin and Bjorn! [thumbzup]

In the next coming month or two I too will be selling my deuce crane truck 'Blue' with the M977 crane. Need to do a little clean up on that. Would love a fresh paint job, but a new owner may have fun with that bit of TLC.

That shot of the front of your house is absolutely gorgeous Bjorn.

I am sure wehring will take good care of the cranetruck.

Thanks, been working on it for twenty years, built the fence in the foreground too. :)

The best care the truck can get is a lot of usage. Since the 757, I haven't done much with the cranetruck, so it's looking forward to a good workout.
As far as driving it to LA or some other place, I'd be a bit hesitant because of the engine knock ( I could be paranoid about it too, but that's the reason for the spare engine included in the deal). It's had the "knock" for thousands of highway miles.
I would also recommend a new fuel tank for it, since the dual compartment tank is no longer used as such, after removing the messy biofuel hardware/system (see above).

Wow, I can't believe that Bjorn would sell the crain truck. Now he will have to change his Avatar. What's next? The world is shaken, At least we can look forward to new threads on new projects from him.:(

No avatar change...the 757 is in it. :)

Regarding new projects, just about all my projects since 2006 (the arrival of the 8x8) have related to it. There is so much repetition now that I rarely post anything at all.
