Does anyone know about turning up the fuel and replacing injectors on a M923. NHC250
Would just like to get a little extra power. M923 is pretty slow taking off, and mine will run 62mph show the gauge, but a little more top end also would be nice.

Depends on which pump you have. Injectors are easy, pull V/C, loosen adjuster, take the hold down out, remove injector and reverse the procedure for assembly. It's assembly that messes people up.

Why you wana put injectors in it?

Also, turning up the fuel won't do anything for top end, that requires governor tampering, I wouldn't do that. Pump output increases with RPM, too much fuel on a non piston cooled engine can have baaad results.

I'm thankful that the stinkiest thing I live near is a smallish chicken ranch. The smell doesn't visit me at home, and it's quick to drive by. It does make a useful navigation aid, though... "Turn the corner, drive past the chicken poop smell, then turn left".

Back to the topic: In addition to the other turning-up-the-fuel thread, there's also a recent thread about a possible difference between US (or at least US government) pump specs vs. Canadian specs. The research is still ongoing there, but seano11 thinks that the US engines may be detuned a bit compared to Canadian specs.

I have thought that alot about my M925 My 813 and both deuces, its just not what it is... and have to give my 3 cents, I also think alot of people are thinking about a totaly different truck when they buy a tactical vehicle, just not made for more than they do, and this is just my opinion, But the speed they travel adds to the coolness factor 100% for me, ... :) the more one will be tunned up will first of all not do much at all, a 250 is what it is,

I think its the M936 that will do 70. Just get one of them....
I understand your frustration, but this is what it is. You might want to try cleaning the injectors with Auto Trans Fluid and 2 Stroke oil.
