Folks,

MGySgt Jim King, USMC (Ret.) from the Mechanized Museum, MCB, Camp Pendleton, is providing an unusal opportunity for those who may not be able to travel to the Museum. He has transported his famous Marine Rocket Truck up to TP so folks can check it out first hand. It's scheduled to be in a couple events starting today and tomorrow. This is the only existing example of this MV that we know of and it works.

The Marine Rocket Truck gained it's fame from many WW II Pacific Island combat campaigns, most notably the battles for Iwo Jima and Okinawa. It is a 1 Ton, International M2-4, 4X4, mounting 3 married Mark-7, 4.5 Inch Rocket Launchers.
