just wondering if it would be possible to delete past event threads over a few most old.. in this category and in the rally category??

would make it easier to find CURRENT and upcoming events.. w/o sifting through old has-been material

We can close them if it really bothers you, that way they will not get posted to any longer thereby not showing up in the "new posts" results. But as Kenny said, we don't like to delete unless it's bad

Plus the thread may contain a post I made...which of course makes that post extremely valuable

Besides, the photos in those older event posts tell lots of good stories.

As all have stated up to this point, These threads are HISTORY, and very important to us old codgers who lived through them. You don't burn old family photos because they are old, you marvel at them because they have been. If new comers want to post comments on an old event because they were impressed by what they saw, I want to hear that because to me that is an extension Of the thrill I got by being there when it happened. Now you have to realize when I joined SS we had less than 2500 members, we are now over 30,000 so we have a lot more opinions than we used to. What I just stated is my opinion, and we all know what that means, right??

This is an addendum to my first comments. When I get on SS I look at what I want to look at and if I don't want to look at comments on old events I don't open that thread, seems pretty straight forward to me.
