Another sucessful "Murphy Free" recovery!!

Many Thanks to Papabear and the CAMO crew for the hospitality.
We really didn't push the 915 that hard on the trip back,pl;us we stopped several times for cheaper fuel and food, plus a few minutes to walk around and stretch out legs.

I have a few pics of the trip home and a video of the unloading at home, but no pics of what Ferro took home with him, that is classified.

Ferro left about 3PM headed south back to Columbia.

Video of the unloading !!

I would guess it would have something to do with the wrecker you were pulling parts off a few weeks ago

Got home about 30min ago.

Total trip tallys-
879.01 miles
moving average- 50.1mph
Max speed- 65.3 mph
moving time 17:20
total time (includes gas and stops, but not loading, unloading, etc) 20:37

Whew!

Nothing remotely went wrong the whole trip, then I catch my exhaust stack on a limb in the yard, and knock it off!!!!

Came by Sunday afternoon after the new truck was unloaded. Massive gasoline engine. Nice see through fuel tanks. Another nice white deuce.

Trying to decide if Brandon has a "problem." When I met him, he only had 10 or so MV's. Now after some buying and selling, he only has 10 or so trucks. Is there no hope?

I would say that he does have a problem, all this time, and he still ONLY has 10 trucks!!!

Or you could say with regular 'treatments', he's managing the addiction well...

When you stop for the cheap fuel and looking to eat cheap - Mac D'd and B-ing all stack their food in the dumpsters very neatly and you can always catch the freshest stuff on top of the stack. Fine dining rule #1.

UPDATE!!!

Since I had a few spare 6602 parts,I swapped the carb Sun evening, that cured all of the idling/running problems, truck starts easily, idles smooth and accelerates quickly.

I spent some time this evening installing a alternator conversion kit and working on the lights, with the exception of 2 blackout markers, all the lights work.

I aired up all the tires as well, adjusted the fan belts, and have the compressor belt pulley soaking to adjust it tomorrow.

I ordered a set of manifold gaskets today, should get them installed this weekend if I am here, after which I'll post another video of it running.

It looks right at home here with the rest of the 5 tons,I hope to get off work in time sometime next week to get to the machine shop and pick up the trued up manifolds, then get time to put it back together.
