My EUC cleared in 8 days. I paid a transporter to haul mine and glad I did. My truck runs great, but what if it broke down? Any "savings" you might hope to gain by driving it goes down the tubes if you break down in an unfortunate place. I paid $800 to transport from Ft.Indiantown Gap to Fredericksburg, Va. If you need a number for a good transporter, send me a message! Good luck.

That's a great and informative ost bsorcs. Thanks.

No telling what you paid for the deuce, but it seems the local charges for maintenance more than doubled your costs, if I read it correctly. I was wondering, for reference, if you would share with us what the cost to have a local shop do such work would come to.
It might make a good budgetary number for the rest of us who might be going through the same thing.

[I really need to re-visit my posts more often...sorry for the delay]
I dropped ~$1500 at Rocket City Truck Repair in Huntsville. That got me everything I mentioned, plus a mixed box of spare air line fittings [which I did not need and have not so far used]. The GL tab was $1235.

FWIW I won a deuce that had been "driven onto lot". I planned on doing some mechanical work on it, carrying spare parts, and driving it home. When I called to make an appointment to pick it up and found that it had indeed been driven onto the lot..... three years ago. I have now beefed up my trailer and will be trailering it home. I looked into having it trucked to my home but the lowest quote I could get was for as much as I paid for the deuce.

Beware of GL descriptions.

That's why they recomend preveiwing . Why does the trailer need to be "beefed Up' is it not rated to haul #14,000 + it's own weight ?
