I haven't decided on a color. I like the white only for the ability to reflect the heat from the sun. It defiantly needs to be green or desert tan.

Another thought I had was making some dark blue/ black camo scheme

How well does the 'hot water heater' work? I've got one but have not used it very much. It looks like you've got it mounted in a good place and wondered if you like it.
The water heater works awesome. My only complaint is the 2 D cell batteries. I think I will be looking at hooking the ignitor to the house batteries.

Any Updates?
Hehe, updates are in the works. I scored a euro an camper unit with a stove, sink, and 3 way fridge that will replace my utility cabinet on the right rear. The access door for the old heater will make a perfect utility access.

I also broke down and bought a Banks turbo kit, I had been watching it on amazon and the price dropped to 1990.00 delivered. I haven't received it yet. I know when I get it installed I will post pics of the install as it seems no one has attempted this on a M1010. Mine has a single alternator mounted in the high spot so I am pulling the trigger. I will need to modify where the fresh are intake will be routed due to my two house battery locations.

I installed my onboard lair system mounted the tank opposite the propane tank.

A side note. I had to wire separate relays to power the two condenser fans for the ac system which is blowing cold again.

I am also going to instal an ac evaporator system I saw. Here is a link to what I am looking at UD-105 Under-dash Air Only Evaporator Unit - Underdash Evaporator Units. Just need a chevy cargo van ac hose for dual ac units to run a second set of refrigerant hoses to inside the cab (burning man will be pleasantly cool)

I will update once the above things are complete.

Thanks again for the interest and a huge thanks to this site. I am constantly lurking for info:beer:

Any updates on this build? It's amazing similar to plans I have for my M1010. Did you make it to the Man this year (another plan I have for my M1010, I was there in '03, and long to roam the playa again)? On a related note, I just unpacked my 20x30 desert camo concealment netting that's been in its bag since I used it at Burningman in 03. It felt strangely refreshing to be covered in Playa dust after unpacking it and airing it out, while standing in NE Ohio...

Sorry for the delays on updates. Yes, I did make it to BM with no banks turbo :(. Amazon kept sending emails that item was unavailable. While i was gone in The desert they cancelled my order but emailed me the same turbo kit was available for 50 dollars more. I was very upset as i would have gladly paid 50 bucks more and had turbo for trip over sierras. The good news though with all the water and fully loaded I still did the hwy 80 grade at a decent clip. I have decided not to go a turbo route. I figure i am half way to a power plant swap for the cost of the turbo.

I also deleted plans for ac unit and built a duct from rear ac unit to cab using large computer cooling fans to distribute.

New addition of a second 80 watt solar panel. I was able to run all gear (bucket swamp cooler 4.7 amps 8 hours per day and whynter 65 qrt cooler at 27 degrees unknown duty cycle for 8 days in the desert. Batteries never got below 11.6.

I am going again this year to the Man.

I will take some pics of my new utility desk and my power outlets bot internally and externally.

Thanks everyone for the questions and interest.

Ps lol I need to figure out a name but i affectionately just refer to her as then ambulance. Friends know but having to explain I brought an ambulance to a beer fest or going riding in an ambulance always get a weird look.
