Injection Pump hose loop questions

Hello All

I am replacing the old hoses on my IP. There are two hoses that make short loops and T back into where they started.

What are they for?

Can I just plug the openings?

I would leave it the way it was. If you change out the lines. Just put it back the way they were. You could open up a can of worms.

I want to thank everyone for the good advice.
I decided to replace all hoses and not use plugs.
Being a newbie, I try to keep it as simple as I can.
