I need a 24 volt voltage regulator for a mep-003. Anyone have a source..?
I would imagine that it's the same for both a 002 & 003 and possibly others.

The model is fvr-4006.

Word of advice.

If you know that you have an over voltage problem and the generator you purchased had all of the fuel pumps burned out. Do not run it and disconnect the battery to see if it will still run. You will burn out the $new$ fuel pump you installed.

Thanks,
Andy..

My MEP003A battery charging meter goes into the red occassionally This overcharge is verified by voltmeter showing 31 volts if I disconnect&reconnect the neg terminal at battery the meter goes back to green and measures 27 volts as it should. This would indicate to me a bad ground I cleaned & retightened connector at frame and thought that solved the problem but next time I started it problem reoccurred. Any suggestions??

First off, hello neighbor, there are several semi-regulars on here from Louisiana, but only a couple from our corner of the state

second if it is not a bad connection the regulator is likely going bad, I had this on my MEP-701a last year, your best bet for finding a new one is ebay search on all the versions of the part number and the NSN

FVR4006, SAW-10385252, 305-0512, NSN 2920010385252

The current supplier for this part seems to be southern automotive Southern Automotive Wholesalers, Inc.

The best price I was able to find online was about $150, but I only did a few minutes of searching, forum rules don't allow me to post the link to the ebay auction where I found this price.

I disconnected and cleaned all cannon plugs seems to be working fine now. If I have any more problems I will change regulator. Thanks for the quick replies.
