Finally got the duece from Ft. Hood has was described as running does not move. When we get there in the am, i check all the fluids everything ok, has about half a tank of fuel. Checked everything underneath truck, everything looks norma,l hoping the clutch is not destroyed. get inside cab and clutch pedal has good travel. look at transfer case lever notice its in neutral (I hope tahts all it was). Hold clutch pedal down also in neutral and hit the switch, no dice. NG gives it a jump it starts right up then dies about 5 seconds later. after checking things its not getting fuel, the positive wire is not connected at the in tank fuel pump. Rig it up by splicing it and can hear fuel pump working. Still wont start. open up purge at filter housing still nothing, figure the pump might be clogged. Didnt want to do it but used some either and it started again but then died. Decide to get it loaded up on trailer by other means, NG guys hepled with a Hemmett, huge truck. Got er loaded up and headed out. Pulled into a fuel station in Marble Falls and while the truck was filling up i looked at the duece on the trailer noticing oil all over the underside. Well I see that the oil pan has a hole in it where someone tried to drive up on or over something that they shouldnt have. Thats when I also see a copper hose line running along the underside of the frame under radiator completely smashed. Follow it up and around and see that its the fuel line, (yea I bet thats why its not getting fuel). Get it to the house take off the old line go to napa get a new one bent and put it on. Next I take off the oil pan and braze the hole in the pan, new gasket and oil and hit the starter button. Its ALIVE, runs like a top and shifts through all gears. Here arfe some pics of the box where we started working on it. Box in good shape two little rust holes in it easy fix, boards were rotton in the front left and right and also the rear left and right. Everything came out fairly easily just some PB blaster and sweat. More to come
