Yep the reason it is so cheap the original owner, The man I was talking about in the OP, passed away(R.I.P.), and his cousin is responsible of all his property and just wanted to get rid of it, and $1200 is what they are worth up in in scrap so thats the price he offered me.
Definitely sounds like a good deal. It will be interesting to watch it progress as you work on it.

Oh ya for sure, winter break is when I will be able to to tearing into her, it should be fun! its sure was a nice truck when parked hopefully nothing to much has changed.

It looks good, but I would be a bit concerned about length if I was to take it mudding. To many humps and I would think it would get stuck on a "hill" with that axle distance.
