Since the question has to do with picking something up from GL, not the military, wouldn't this be better asked of GL?

It is manned, and from the discussion in another thread it is not military. Another SS member drove his last auction win off the lot.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Picked up my M109A4. The neighborhood isn't that bad. It's the first exit once you cross over the Delaware Memorial Bridge from NJ. Go up three or four blocks make a right go less than a half mile make another right and you're there. It's an auction house and they specialize in over the road trucks at this yard but I was told GL rents space. Very nice people. Saw one fellow drive an M109A4 out of the lot following a low boy truck hauling another M109A4 followed by a truck load of trailers.

What's happened to all the M109A4's on the GL auction in DE and NV? No M109A4's listed today and there were 11 listed yesterday, one of which I was the high bidder on?

Sometimes the military changes their mind about not needing them, they cancel the auction and take them back to use. Be happy, Uncle Sam just saved a bunch of tax dollars to reuse the equipment.

Isn't that convenient for GL that they can just cancel an auction anytime even if there are items that have bids. I'm sure somewhere on the GL website buried deep in all their CYA verbiage there's some legal disclaimer that'll let them do it without recourse from any of the bidders.
For me, I'm done with GL and will just try to find what I'm looking for from someone on this site.

It could be worse. Some people have bought and paid for items, and taken them home. The Government STILL reserves the right to change their mind, after all that hassle.

Here's the BS excuse that GL gave me for canceling a vehicle auction for which I was the high bidder. Funny how any recourse is so one-sided in favor of the Gov and GL. The little guy always gets screwed by Uncle Sucker, but what else is new...
11. DEMIL CODE CHANGES RETURN OF RESTRICTED PROPERTY: In the event that DLA Disposition Services changes a Demil Code or determines that an item offered for sale by GL may not be sold, or must be sold with restrictions, GL may withdraw the item from sale or place additional restrictions on the sale at any time prior to the removal of the item by the Buyer. The Buyer will be limited in remedy to a refund of the purchase price and cancellation of the sale.

Rumor has it they were yanked for foriegn military sales, that reallt sucks because the last batch went for under 5k, a real steal.

No, what really sucks is that you jump thru all of THEIR hoops and play by all of THEIR rules and still can end up getting screwed without any recourse against GL/Uncle Sucker. I'm pretty much done with GL/Uncle Sucker and will watch the SS website to find what I want/need...

Another example of why I don't play GL's games anymore. Call them for an explanation and you get something similar to "DUH". When it comes to GL, I'll proudly be that "...one less guy to bid against." It's all y'alls...
