Hope you can help as GL is giving me huge problems on this. Bought this Duece on 10-04-12. They think it is an Am General the only number I can come up with is the one on the frame on the driver side by the front axle. vin 034011912 they think it is an 1987 but they still haven't sent me the title. It came out of the Redstone Arsenal. Huntsville, Al. No other information available. Would greatly appreciate any help so I can pass it on to GL

I think you better verify your vin on your frame. Sure hope you havent registered the vehicle yet.

No info. Need to validate the info on the frame. The first digit 3 is not working. I have a one starting with a 1 and one starting with a 5 but no 3.

Dear Carnac,
After one hour of paint remover, wire brush, and scraper I have found another number 160mm distance from the first number. The first 4 numbers are the same BUT the last 5 are different! 0325 21222. If I did not do this myself I would not belive it or is this normal? I have a reciept from the IFMS (US Goverment Disposal Europe) so I feel safe. Does this number work?

Nothing on this vin but one starting with 540 and one with 640--yes. Validate your vin. If it is 340 I don't have any info.

a. Serial Number (VIN number) unknown , dataplate and Budd number are gone , Dutch DMV placed a new number on the car.

d. owned by my dad for aprox 20 years , don't know where he bought it.

I was pointed in this direction from fellow users to hopefully find out some more info on my M1008. I'd love to know the history on it, as Im fascinated with where and how these trucks got used.

The numbers are as follows:

A: 1GCGD34J2EF338916

B: NG1542 (The last number might be a 0)

C: 2320-01-123-6827

D: Bought off a guy in NH who owned it for a long time, I dont know where he got it from.

E: No bumper numbers, though I would love to figure them out and put them back on.
