Finally engine out off the M1010

Finally got around to pull the engine out of the M1010 even do is being here for over a month when it blow up coming back from Alaska will take apart in the next few days to see what i can savage the engine only has 9000 miles after complete overhaul including new heads timing chain IP injectors balancer ect ect , for now here are some pictures of pulling it out using the wrecker;)

I would say there is an issue with the oil pan....:p

Looking forward to the autopsy results.

I am guessing a rod did that?? who did the overhaul?? the reason I asked, is because I just had 3 - 6.2 completely overhauled.. holy crap.. maybe I should convert all to cummins

I don't know who overhauled it....But they did not either check bearing clearance or passed up on the tork spec on the rod cap..Bummer I hope you can get your money back..Crappy job right there!!

Wasn't necessarily the builder, sometimes parts fail. Could have been pushed a little too hard in the mountains while towing as well.

It is all those yellow things that caused the problem. ;-)

Pretty clean break on the rod. That block is toast. :-(
