I just removed my rack and spare tire to make room for my generator that i am getting ready to mount.. i have four spare tires mounted in the bed, but i would like to relocate the other somewhere else. has anyone done this before? i searched the forms and couldn't find anything about it. i was thinking in the very back under the bed where most pickup trucks have theirs mounted. any input or suggestions?

they came with the truck and were already in the bed so i just mounted them there.... to me it was better than trying to find a place to store them.

probably not but the thought would cross my mind... i really didn't have a place to store them at the time, so i just made a place to mount them in the back. two is one and one is none. i am building my deuce as a bug over or bug out vehicle. so the more spares the better

Get a portable folding cage and the tools to break the tires down. A patch kit and a couple of extra tubes. It would fit into a space smaller than two tires and you could fix multiple flats.

The long bed 5ton M814 has the spare mounted in the rear. Take a look and see if you could make a similar setup work for a deuce. I don't know if there is enough room, but its a possibility.

When I added the second fuel tank to my truck, I mounted two spares in the bed along with a trailer spare. Front of the bed strapped down with ratchet ties to the bed racks and bed. I added a small hoist in the back of the bed on the right to make getting them in and out possible by myself.
