Hey all,

So you guys who've bought Mk48 trailers sitting with no FPU, how do you or your shipping companies load these trailers? Is it a ridiculous expense since there is no FPU?

Thanks!

A heavy lift rotator wrecker was used in FL.
What Ron said. Since the brakes lock when you take the air off them you have to cage them to get the trailer to roll. It might be possible to cage the brakes and roll it up on a trailer with a forklift but you would risk a lot of damage doing it.
I helped load out several at Albany a while back and the rotator is the way to go.

You can also release them using an air hose

AugDog, did you buy some trailers in Albany as well? Well, I've got a few to pull to load for Andy1234 and if you've bought some that need a ride, I can pull them too so long as they have a towbar. If you need some sling loaded, I prefer you handle that business with Wreckerman893 as I work at the base and can't tell the wrecker operator anything. I can kindly direct him towards the load but I've gotten my fingers bitten in the past on loadouts. For What it's Worth, yes, Wreckerman has used the aforementioned Wrecker service when getting some stuff loaded out before and they are good people.
