I knew it had been going too good recently. No mechanical issues as of recent until my wife asked me to go to the store for her and I decided to take Old Blue. This is what I discovered while driving. (Sorry the Video is crooked but I was driving)View attachment IMG_0131.mov

Gen 2 light usually goes out after a little boost of RPMs from idle but now it is flashing like crazy just before shifting from 1st and 2nd. The tighter it winds the more it flashes (just like a tach red-lining) then after it shifts it goes out again. Guess I get to have some fun running it down. I'm thinking maybe a exciter wire but time and searching will tell.

Have you rebuilt it ever?

If not, I would.

I think I had a defective set of regulators after doing both rebuilds which were causing the GEN lights to flash in a very strange manner while driving. Replaced them and it went away. Agree on the rebuilds...

I have had the rebuild kits from CUCV Electric since X-mas (a gift to myself) and I was keeping them back as a spare since I had tested the alternators and they were charging fine then. Guess I will put them to use. Thanks for the input.
