There are weapons demonstrations and battle
reenactments giving visitors an idea of how weapons and equipment were utilized in the field.

Location:
Scottish Rite Masonic Center

Stevex6x6 - The event is still on. There are no admission fees, and there's plenty of room to park. Would you like to attend?

You missed a good show! Not many MVs there other than Jeeps but lots of good weapons and equipment displays. Loads of German reenactors this year and even two Japanese reenactors showed up today. One dressed in full traditional Samurai armor and the other as a foot soldier. Several interesting people running around dressed in 1940 civie outfits and a live band playing 1940 music out there all day. Tonight they're having a dance with live band and everyone is supposed to in 1940s outfits. Sounds like fun!

Oh, one real interesting display today was a woman that's dressed as WW II German Red Cross field nurse complete with everything to equip a WW II German field hospital! All the medicines, instruments, examining table, beds and even the bed pans are original German WW II issue! I'll be dammed if I know where/how she's managed to collect all of it!

The show is still going on tomorrow and I'm going back and taking manual out there for a .50 cal M2 BMG. They have a live one there but couldn't get it to fire today and didn't have a manual so I dug one of of my collection for them.

This is one of the smaller shows as far as MVs and spectators are concerned but in way that's good. Things are slow enough that the reenactors have plenty of time to talk to you and you can look at their displays at length.

Today was a particularly good day for me. I stopped at a garage sale less than a mile from the show and bought a duffel bag for $1. Also a 50 cal ammo can full of reloading supplies including a new, full can of Hi-Skor 700-X powder for $2 and two military (USN) aluminium boxes of Mark 13 MOD 0 flares for $2 each!
