Anybody filed a claim with GL?

Bought a 915A1 out of Hooks, Tx. Picked it up yesterday and it was not as the pictures showed. It was missing the complete A/C system. There had never been one installed on the truck. The pictures on the auction listing of the engine area of the truck were not the right ones, all the other pictures in the auction listing were correct.

Do I think GL did a bait and switch, NO. I think it was a simple mistake with a lot of data to upload, **** happens.

However, that A/C system was the deciding factor of where my bids went that day. There were multiple trucks at Nellis closing that day with A/C that was actually installed, my buddy just got home last week with A/C from the same auction.

My question, has anyone filed claims with GL? If so, how long of process is it? What should I expect out of this?

I won a M105A2 at Camp Shelby that allegedly was never released from DRMO to GL. DRMO person demanded that I could not take it after invoice signed and hooked up to my suv while changing bulbs. Lesson learned- get out of Dodge and do pm and checks off base asap!

Trailer had a new tarp, good paint-no rust, bed had a full plywood box enclosure, fluorescent lights in box, and nice fancy set of extra snap wide hooks on safety chains. Was offered a rusty 20 year older junk m105a0 trailer with a torn cover instead. Declined and made claim. Got a fair mileage settlement as it a 2 hour trip one way from N.O. It took some time and a lot of persistence on my part and to be honest: It was a hassle all the way around.

Once you pick it up that's pretty much it. You can file a claim but the odds of anything but "see the terms of agreement" are not likely.

You would have had a better chance of getting a refund if you refused to pick it up, or had the GL rep note on the invoice the descrepancy when they signed your copy. Because it never had an AC, but it was in the photos, you still have a good chance, but it will take awhile. It took me 5-6 weeks for a refund for a generator that went missing.

That right there is the nail in the coffin. Unless you physically went on base and confirmed it had AC, you're out of luck when it comes to a claim.

I know a few friends that have been burned on here by GL but, to be honest it was their fault in most cases. It clearly states that the pictures may not be correct. The fact that you took owner ship of it before you found the problem all but sealed your chances of any refund. The old fact that if you don't ask then you will never know is still at least a hope for you. Good luck........

You signed for it when you picked it up.
you have no claim.

Hooks is really bad about moving stuff around numerous times (before during & after the auction).
I have personally seen damage done on purpose. I have seen stuff removed from SOLD equipment at that site.
They don't care, period.

Next time refuse the item & hope you atleast get a refund.

How did you "take it in the arse" ???
You used it & made money off it.
You bid on a truck that you DID NOT inspect !

Let me get this straight. You made 3 grand on the truck but somehow still feel screwed by GL? :???:

I'd take that kind of screwing any day of the week.
