I'll not bother with my normal sarcasm and go straight to the point. If I catch another post about how to evade taxes, this thread is done.

Don't forget, the main taxing body that's going to look for retribution if caught running untaxed fuel is the IRS. In case you don't know, they are the most rutheless collection agency in this country.

Joke: What's the difference between the tax collector and the taxidermist?

The taxidermist leaves the skin!

The way I like it, thanks. I'm not trying to in any way shape or form evade taxes or show someone how to. Just trying to edgeucate on how to do it legally. The Next time I go past a weigh scale I'll stop and have someone inspect my stuff and record the whole thing if it would help clear it up.

Maybe we should start a "how to do it legal" thread and can this one.

I'd just burn Creosote.

DH, I hear that human fat is free in some parts of the country. I'm not sure about NY but shipping it shouldn't be a problem (or you could just suck out your own). :-D

I still need to know what they will test for if they see red.

If I make one mistake, there is going to be some blood in that fat.

You know.... I've seen the advertisements that say "Fat Free". I never realized what they really meant.

California has a law against burning human fat as a fuel . I guess they don't want all that fat from the liposuction out there to pollute the air.

Someone recently called me "flippant". I had to look that one up.

I was disappointed that it was not in reference to Flip Wilson (who didn't love Geraldine?).

I like learning new words.

Just call me Flip...

Please correct me if I'm wrong. The sole reason of the red dye in off road diesel is to distinguish it from regular ultra low sulfur diesel? Correct?

So when your tank gets dipped and your running off road diesel, it comes out red and your screwed?

When your tank gets dipped and it's red because you run ATF as an additive, are you getting in trouble because they think you are running offroad diesel or because the ATF is an untaxed fuel and you've created a blend.

Both. They assume it is offroad diesel. When they find out it isn't, then the tax man comes into play. Ymmv

That sounds like a question for your DOT. I would think that if they allowed ATF as an additive and you got dipped and fined you'd have to get a lawyer and have them send the sample the cop took to alab and prove the red dye tracer was not in the fuel. You might get the fine dropped but then your still stuck with the legal fee's fighting it. Is that worth it? Up to you.

On a side note to some of the latest comments in here, I am disgusted at the fact that so many people today think that its ok to lie to someone wether under oath or not as long as it benefits them in the end. I honestly dont know how some people sleep at night. If you'll lie to a cop or a judge to get out of a relatively small fine, whats to stop you from lying when something more serious happens when it comes to protecting your butt. Im not perfect, but I own up to it when I make a mistake.

DH, I wouldn't worry about the blood in the fat. You'll look so good "rockin your new body" that the judge is bound to let you go. Well, either that or your cell mate Buba will like your new looks.

The more I think about it, it could go either way.

Best to put the fat in a tote for a couple of weeks out in the sun and then run it through one of Gimpy's socks as a filter to remove any red dye from the blood.

The way I understand it, all diesel is ultra low sulfur nowadays. All the red dye does is to distinguish taxed fuel from untaxed fuel. I know the local Co-op dyes the fuel themselves. It's all the same diesel only they put red dye in the off-road and leave the road diesel clear.

In TN there is actually 3 different types of diesel. Road diesel that doesn't have dye and you pay sales and road tax on, farm diesel that is dyed that you don't pay any tax on, and construction diesel that is dyed that you pay sales tax on but still no road tax.

Exempt as long as your using less than 400 gallons a quarter, Page 4 about the 2nd line, starts with Exclusions

Got this from the IRS, gave the first person such a hard time about giving me a "I think" answer and not a black and white one, that they took my name and number and refered it to a "senior technician" the next day they called back and sent this to my email.

The other 2, one is a copy of my NC blenders lic. and the other is a sample fuel report. Now the fuel reports are done online, makes it real fast and easy as long as I can remember my passwordaua
