Anytime young lady.

I keep telling PB I rate how long it takes in BEER - so there are no pics of the WC which we just found out about an hour ago the upholstery is done and ready to ship from New Life Canvas TODAY - whoooo hoooooo - no more sitting on a 5 gallon bucket.

SO pics are better than words and I have crushed the first fill of the canister to hold the beer cans - this is the second fill plus a few extra pull offs from a couple previous jobs - wanna know how long it takes me - count how many beers I can sip doing it.
Now tell me this is not funny

We really need the can and bottle deposit law down here in GA like in Michigan. Then there would be some real cash in those buckets :)

The surprise for PB's WC came late last night and I was too lazy to walk back down the hill and open the garage - so tonight I will shoot a couple pics of a "simple" teaser for him with them on - just to get him excited finally. Gotta do something while I wait for that upholstery.

The surprise is nothing BIG - nor elaborate - and my son made it for PB along with his coheart in crime as they purchased a machine to do this kind of stuff - I just call them both Go Getter Americans. They both make chit for pay - they both have full time jobs and both had their wives leave them after meeting someone on the internet leaving them with the kids - I have a word for that as well. But they keep reaching out to try to become productive instead of those other kind of folks.

Anyway - they handed me these for PB to tease him - it breaths life into the WC beconning for the remainder to be figured out and done - Because It is Ready for them.
simple but to the point

I am humbly honored by this whole build.

Zout has done the body work and the mechanical work required, Zout 2(Deb) is making the "build book" which I know will be outstanding, and now, Zout 3 does this!!!

I am speechless except to say you all have my heartfelt appreciation and utmost respect, but most of all, I want to thank you to some truly fine Americans for being who you are and being my friends.

You are a fine American family and I consider myself truly Blessed to have met you all!!

Just got home from Columbus and enjoyed every minute of it - especially the being away part to calm down a bit and be with friends. The WC canvas UPS delivery is scheduled for Tue here at the house - the 18th. I advised PB that either Sat or Mon the WC would be ready for pickup - therefore with final pics without a few items will be posted and that will pretty much be the end of this thread as well. I'll be getting the upholstery installed Tue night as well and take maybe into Wed to finish it up.

First couple pics are for PB as I mailed him of what was happening - so PB this is what it is. End of the pivot shaft you can see a small piece of the housing cracked out of it - that is what was leaking.

Did a couple small things this morning - fired the baby right up - lowered the windshield and stuck er in reverse (need them data plates or the TM's back so I would have known where reverse is - there is a Dodge hole in the front of the garage.
Pulled it outside with it running extremely smoothly - let her idle for a moment with the new filter and new oil in it - check for leaks and none found - shut her down. Proceeded on to pressure wash the garage floor while holding onto the cell talking to Swiss - man that was nearly 45 minutes while he was traveling. Good time on the phone discussing his project he is bringing over some time this week after I get the upholstery in the WC.

That looks great Dave!!!!!! Since you have been working so hard, why don't you take a couple days off, come here to the Farm and finish My M37??? Most of the hard work is done and I am sure two days would be plenty of time for YOU to finish it.:-D:-D

Lloyd - if we can figure a date where i can get out of this rat race to give you a hand bro I surely would love coming down there to learn something - see your place - sit with you folks and enjoy the commradre while we busted arse on your 37. I could think of no better thing to do. Let me think about this - I hopefully can surprise ya.

PB - FREE AT LAST - FREE AT LAST - thank God I am free at last - WC 22 was DRIVEN out of the garage - let it bake a little while in the sun while I put the PTO shaft together. Zout2 came home and was chasing me around the power line while I drove it to get some FREEDOM pictures - final pictures will be of course with the upholstery in it - I am looking forward to that moment it gets a breath of life back into her. This is for you Bro.

She sure looks happy to be outside the "torture room"!!

You've done an outstanding job Brother and my thanks is only the tip of the iceberg of the thanks and respect you will receive in years to come as THOUSANDS of Veterans and other Americans enjoy your work in parades and displays!

Everytime you see the WC in action you can take pride in saying, "Hey...I done that"!!!

Of course the whole vehicle looks awesome but the bed floor is the "nines". Great job Commander. When you are done at Lloyd's, you can take a right turn and head out the Texas to work on the WC51.

Torture room - you ought to see the diabolical chit I have planned for Swiss's CUCV - I have some evil plans for that baby - give me a couple days and his head will be twisting like that girl in the Exocism movie - but all evil plans have an end.

Bring that bobber on BRO - nothing scares me.

To all those following Zout's threads I would like to say we all know his work is superb but I will say this..... I am restoring a WC51 at the moment and I am doing many of the same things he has done. Either on the M43, Deb's Jeep or the WC22. Unfortunately I am doing them in slow motion so today it truly hit home as to how fast and how good of job he does. My hats off to you brother and you have nothing but my utmost admiration. fat lady sings

Thanks Kent and I humbly nod - since 2009 I have finished the 109 - now turning it into a M909 shortly - finished 3 M38A1's - Finished the M43B1 ambulance - finished a 1972 CHevelle - Finished a 1964 Mustang - nearly done with PB's WC 22 and headed into Swiss's CUCV - then onto the M909 project. I had sent some selective few pics of the civy projects so they know they are not a BS comment - they saw them start to finish. You Kent - are just more intricate and selective than I am - I high doubt you will put that truck through what we do to ours - therefore what we put into them and what we want out of them (PB did get a special rub down treatment though) that he did not expect. I do not take these appreciative comments lightly believe me.
