Hey all,

I haven't received my new truck yet but the PO said the intake was relocated to the rear directly behind the bed... anyone know why? what purpose this might serve?

but mainly, is it gonna reduce my turbo whistle? :(

hahah I know the turbo noise comes from the exhaust however its always been my experience that with a more free flowing intake, the more 'whistle' you will hear. and oh ok I see. so it shouldn't affect performance negatively, correct?

Why not ask the PO why it was moved? He would be your best source. We can only guess.

Sure would help to know what kind of truck you are talking about. Did you buy the crewcab M916 off of GSA for $50,000?

50,000!!!! wow!!! no way! I'm attaching a pic of it.. It's an 86 AM General m35a2 :) and okay I'll ask him lol
Thanks for letting us know what type of truck.

While you did post in the Deuce forum, we can only guess what you are really talking about.

The truck looks good from the single picture. I am also interested in how they plumbed it.

Have you seen this truck in person?

Does it even have a "C" turbo?

If that is really the air intake location, it's a bad choice. It should be in a high pressure area rather than a low pressure area.

What is the problem DH? When you click on Trucks Sales it takes you to the Hotel site. You don't want to buy a hotel?

he did say it has a 'whistler' turbo which I do believe is the "C" - I just plan on relocating the intake. He said the batteries were also relocated under the hood, probably why he did it... but still...
